Many programs that automatically try to download photos will let you disable this feature from within the program.
Turning this feature off from within the program is the easiest and safest way avoid problems. |

Run msconfigTake notes on what you change here so you can put it back the way it was if necessary. |
To run mconfig:

Click the Startup tab. Here you will find options to disable and re-enable most programs that run when you start your computer.
Click within the boxes to check or un-check an item. Un-check an item stops the program from running when you start your computer. Look at the Startup Name and "Command" for each program to see which ones you want to turn off, |
