Introduction to Digital Photography Using Picasa

Making Your Pictures Look Better

Think of the photo that comes out of your camera as a negative.

All of the file formats contain enough information to allow you to make the adjustments that look good to you.

The one exception to this is when there is no information in the image. The sky had gone dead white or the shadows contain nothing but black.

However in most cases you can make great improvements without a lot of work.

Picasa protects your photos by only modifying them when necessary.

In Picasa, w hen you are make changes to a photo
Picasa makes notes of those changes
but does not actually modify the file until required to do so.
